It may well be both. However, I have just been having the "if I say three times in rapid succession, 'shut up I don't want to know', that means 'I really, truly, don't want to know', not 'please keep on telling me lots of spoilers'" conversation with someone who insists on telling me the plot of a later episode, so I will refrain from spoilering in my own LJ. :-)
