DVD goodness

Part of my fit of DVD buying earlier this week was Bob And Rose, Russell T Davies' 2001 comedy drama about a gay man and a straight woman falling in love. I'd missed it on its original run, because it was broadcast not long after I moved to the US.

The DVD has just turned up in today's post. Alas, I am still sans tv, so I will just have to take it round to kalypso_v's. I'm sure she'll be happy to provide viewing facilities once the current bout of 18 hour work days is over, seeing who put me on to the series in the first place...

Given that it's Russell T Davies... :-)

He was talking about it in the interview broadcast last month for the start of the new Torchwood season. Apparently it's based on a real life friend of his.

It's also not unlike Tom Robinson's experience (http://www.bothways.com/both2003/artindie.htm). And another article I've read makes it clear that spotting "the guy of his dreams across a crowded room" and then finding out that she happened to be a woman is exactly what happened to him.
