Torchwood books help wanted

Sometime in the last week I've read something about one of the Torchwood books including a bit about Ianto's first week at Torchwood 1, working with the archivist. And now that I'm doing a book order I can't remember which one. [livejournal.com profile] agentxpdble, I know you've read a couple of them recently...

ETA: It's Trace Memory. Suggested by [livejournal.com profile] phoenix_born, confirmed with a bit of googling which turned up a good review.

Trace memory, I think is Ianto's first week.

Yeah, you got it. I really liked it - All three of the new books were really good and far more in keeping with show canon than the first three from last year.

Be sure to read Twilight Streets next - there's some *great* Ianto crack in it. :)))

Actually, if you know you are going to read all three anyway and sequential order is important to you, there is a noticeable progression/parallel to the second season - I read them in reverse order and it did bother me a little so you might just want to be patient and do them in order.

They go like this:

Something In The Water by Trevor Baxendale
Trace Memory by David Llewellyn
The Twilight Streets by Gary Russell

I haven't had an opportunity to read any of the books yet, though I've watched all of the first series, and am partly through the 2nd series. Do you know if the books hold up? I'm thinking more writing quality and staying true to the characters.
