Another 3100 words today. At this rate I'll have it finished today or tomorrow (it looks like novelette length). What I'm going to do with it I don't know; it's definitely headed off into what Alex calls "your blood on the floor stories" territory. There's some rather nasty wish-fulfillment going on there, and I'm not sure I *want* that out in public. Mostly because it's extremely blunt and obvious wish-fulfillment, and I'd rather be a bit more subtle in my writing... At least it will only have taken a week or so of writing time, and it will be out of *my* head and giving someone else nightmares instead.

I know what you mean about wish-fulfilment. There's a couple of stories I'm tempted to write (that I'm sure would work as stories) but that are horribly revealing about me.

On the other hand, there's nothing wrong with wish-fulfilment (Can I read it?)

Not unless you want to be a test subject for "Does this work for people who haven't read the first one?" :-) It's a sequel to a 51,000 word novel, and I don't think your neck would stand up to reading the first one.

There are also some very blatant class issues happening which I'm sure weren't there, or at least weren't as in your face, when I first got the idea for this.

You're right about the neck. Transfering e-mail between machines and trying to learn new software is flaring it up at the moment. I like Turnpike, but I'm still learning how to use it.
