I fail at geekdom

My flist has been wittering about Dollhouse for the last couple of days. I have obviously been well out of the loop, because I was wondering what the hell everyone was talking about. It was only when james_nicoll explicitly mentioned Joss Whedon that I realised that it was a new Whedon show.

Having pottered over to the wikipedia entry, the first thing that strikes me is -- I've forgotten whether or not Whedon is known to be a B7 fan. Because that concept strikes me as something that looks a *lot* like musing on the theme of mutoids, with a side order of Heinlein's Friday.
