Closet con

Am thinking of going to Closet Con, although as usual I won't be sure until nearer the time. I know there are a couple of others on my flist, but anyone else thinking of going? 13-15 August in Leicester, it's a K/S con but there is, or at least was the last time I had the chance to go, a fair chunk of general slash conversation. (I suspect Watervole and I may bore people around us rigid by talking about future plans for writing slashy profic.)

Almost finished -- the third Inspector Singh book, which is "OMG I am so glad I stumbled over this series". Started last night, the ebook anthology with a story by m'friend Stevie Carroll, which so far is every bit as good as I expected it to be. These are review copies, so expect more detailed ramblings about them soon.

Arrived -- two books which have been on my wish list for a while courtesy of the romance blog Dear Author. I started reading that blog in part to find het romance likely to be to my taste, but I've had such a massive TBR stack I've bought almost nothing in the last year or two that had to be ordered. I decided it was time to grab these before they went out of print -- one manga with an interesting concept, an AU Edo period Japan where a gender-specific disease has left the men as a protected minority, and one romance single title with a hero who has Asperger's.

Also arrived -- boxset of the Blake's 7 audio adventures. I've heard odd snippets, but am looking forward to hearing the full thing as my cross-stitch listening for the next month.
