Ah, thanks for that. I was just thinking this morning as I picked the book up that I'd heard good things about another Ancient Roman detective, only of course I'd completely blanked on the names of author and character. I shall go looking in the local library next week. I seem to be on a mystery kick at the moment, as I peered into the library bag last night and was peeved to find that I had only one mystery left, the rest being sf.
