I'm currently trying to cut 20,000 words out of the completed urban fantasy detective novel, then I think I'm going back to the Young Adult SF adventure while smtfhw nitpicks it for one last time prior to trying to shop it. The more-or-less our universe detective story is very much a backburner while my characters try to find a plot (I've got an idea, it just needs a lot of fine tuning).
Meanwhile Real Work keeps kicking me and stealing all my writing time.
