I understand scheduling pains, and I also understand limited brainspace, but yeah, it would be lovely to meet up again at some point just to talk.
As for the SF - I'm not happy with the seeming requirement for a m/f romance subplot that most stories seem to fulfil. I want to see all kinds of stories, with all kinds of arrangements - and I want to see more characters who are just too busy and involved with their main plots to woo the girl. (Temeraire was a relief in that respect.) I want fiction to mirror the experience of my gay, lesbian, bi, poly, and happily single friends. Oh, and I want to be able to *sell* books about people who are not involved in traditional m/f romances, either.
