thunder!

As we arrived home, we said, "It looks like thunder." And a few seconds later, there was a roll of thunder... Followed by random thunder, lightning, brief cloudbursts of large raindrops, brief cloudbursts of hail, and a veritable snowstorm of white petals from the hawthorn.

It seems to have more or less passed over now, but I can still hear rumbling in the distance.

Tabitha went out about a minute before it broke, and has just returned looking extremely soggy. I'd hoped she'd have the sense to dash back once it started, but she must have tried to take shelter somewhere else.

We haven't had any hail - yet. Lightning, thunder, rain and plenty of blacker clouds off to the south and east.
