Anyone thinking of entering the Dream Realm Awards should be aware that one of the organisers thinks that finalists should be obliged to spend several hundred dollars for the privilege of being a finalist. Because, you see, finalists who don't bother to go to the awards ceremony held at Armadillocon are showing a serious lack of respect for the award. Never mind that the website says that you need not be present to win. If you would never otherwise go to Armadillocon, tough titty. You're still showing a serious lack of respect for the award if you don't want to spend several hundred dollars for the privilege of being a finalist, never mind a winner.

I wanted to enter this year, but didn't get my entry in in time because I had major Real Life issues. I regretted that at the time. I don't any more.

My review of the DVD of children's sf series Children of the Stones has gone up at Firefox News. And yes, I was paid immediately, as the review was accepted on the 6th, posted on the 10th, and the cheque arrived today. I have still received neither cheque nor reply to query about same for a review I did for a different online mag some months ago, so guess who gets first refusal in future?

Finished writing synopsis for Dolphin Dreams and sent it off to my editor.
