Book log - June
Jul. 1st, 2008 11:25 amI'm still not doing very well in the reading stakes. I should probably allocate this afternoon to simply sitting down with a book, but I should also probably allocate this afternoon to at least one job application, and those take time.
So this month's tally is but two. Gents, from the LibraryThing Early Reviewers programme, and a re-read of Barbara Paul's The Fourth Wall, which is one of my all-time favourite mysteries.
I've also got a couple of books lying around half-read -- a re-read of Sayers' Unnatural Death, and my first crack at Reginald Hill's Blood Sympathy, the first in the Joe Sixsmith series. I've having trouble getting into the latter, and I'm not sure why, as I've read a later book in the series and enjoyed it. It may be that I'm simply not in the mood for something in that style.
