There's nothing there that I know about and would point people at, but there seem to be several "first of series" in the thrillers, and there's a Regency romance I'm probably going to buy once I've put my new credit card details into Amazon: The Birthday Scandal
ETA: just found Peril on the Royal Train: 10 (The Railway Detective series)
- I like this series from Edward Marston - undemanding extruded mystery product, but competently-written EMP. And Devices and Desires
, from the Dalgliesh books by PD James.
On the subject of summer sales, Book View Cafe has one coming up later this month, so it's worth keeping an eye out for that.
The full list is an interesting exercise in "covers matter". It doesn't have the blurbs, just a thumbnail, title and author name. I was skimming through looking for authors I know, and anything where I didn't know the author had only the cover art to signal to me whether I might want to click through to look at the blurb. Yes, you can tell what the genre is by the cover, if the publisher has done their job right.
