I was kicking myself at the Didsbury service yesterday, because I'd looked at my mother's Land Army medal on Saturday and didn't bring it back with me. I remember the year after Bill Brice died, somebody told his daughter to run back to the house (which is only a couple of minutes away) and get his medals to wear on his behalf...
