Emerald City reports that Orbital won the 2008 Eastercon bid: The 2008 Eastercon to be held in the Heathrow Radisson Edwardian with guests Neil Gaiman, Tanith Lee, China Miéville, Charles Stross, and fan guest of honour Rog Peyton.

Right, that's *my* Easter in 2008 sorted out... Unfortunately I have the uneasy feeling that as soon as I set foot inside the con building I'm going to be press-ganged. If not sooner. So I'd just like to point out *right* *now* to certain people on my flist that if I make it to the con I'd like to see some of it. :-)

That certainly looks interesting. I'm not committing myself yet though. But I've just checked what's happening next year and I will most likely do Liverpool in 2007.

I like Eastercons, but I also like/need a quiet time at home after the long horribly winter term.

I've never actually been to an Eastercon, because when I was living in the UK I always ended up using the time off to visit family, but that looks a good line-up. There is also the minor point that the Orbital concom is essentially an expanded version of the Redemption concom - and I avoided being press-ganged onto the Redemption concom by moving to California. :-)

I should remind watervole that I am going to a major regional con at the end of May, should they wish flyers done for US cons.
