Feeling a bit better now

What happened yesterday was that I got caught by the classic cold rain onto frozen surface, with the added bonus of liquid water on top of the black ice. I didn't fall that hard, and the worst damage on the side I fell on was the soaking wet patch of clothes from falling into a puddle of water. Once I got back on my feet and walked a few metres, it was pretty obvious that the only thing I might need medical attention for was my other hand, the one that hadn't hit anything on the way down. It didn't hurt very much, but it shouldn't have hurt at all. There's an NHS walk-in centre five minutes walk from my bus stop near work, so I decided I'd just go into work and go to the walk-in centre if it was still hurting by the time I got off the bus. Which it was, so I did, and the doctor agreed with me that I'd probably jerked that arm as I went down, and triggered the RSI. Treatment is to continue the ibuprofen I'm already taking to treat the injury from last winter's fall on ice, and add prescription strength codeine, if necessary.
There followed a fun day at work trying to find things I could do that were useful, but that did not involve typing or anything else that might make things worse. The pain never got bad enough to be a problem, but I could feel that it would get much much worse if I was rash. I've fired up Dragon today, and will doubtless be using it for at least a week or so at home. That should do wonders for my temper...
thanks for the comments on the previous entry. I won't reply individually, as Dragon and the LJ interface don't always play nicely together.
