julesjonesThe first draft is finished, at 61,602 words. I need to read it through again to look for really obvious stupidities, and then send it off to my editor this evening. I wouldn't normally send her something before it's been beta-read, but given that I'm going to be out of contact for a couple of days and then jet-lagged for several more, I'd be happier if she's got the draft before I go. Just in case my laptop gets stolen en-route, etc, etc.
