You're not the first person to ask that about Promises To Keep. :-) It was originally written specifically for an anthology of gay erotica short stories, so it was always intended to be only a few thousand words. I happened to send it to my editor at Loose Id for her own amusement, rather than as a submission, but she asked if she could have it because it would fit in the Halloween schedule. I don't have any specific plans to write more about those characters, partly because it's a bit too close to home -- the illness in the story is real, and I know people who have it. But if I got an interesting story idea, I might write more stories in that universe.
