I would like to remind people that not everyone is either in the UK or busy pulling Who episodes off bittorrent. Which means that some of us who have to wait for our Who fix would appreciate it if those of you who have seen the latest episode would put big fat spoilers like who is playing a returning character behind marked cut-tags on LJ, and on the spoilerific-channel on #afp. [glares at various culprits].

Never have that worry with me Jules, I don't even have television service and the last Dr. Who I watched was safely during the 70s and 80s.

The weird thing is that some of the guilty parties are from a usenet newsgroup that is (or was) very careful about not putting up spoilers for something that's not yet available in Parts Foreign.

Can't have been me! My spoiler (FWIW) is behind a big cut labeled *SPOILER*, doesn't actually mention any characters, and is just plain rude. And I wasn't on channel last night. Nor the week before...

It was one of the Blake's 7 people with the LJ post -- she has confessed that she thought that everyone overseas just downloads the episode off file-sharing, so there was no need to worry about spoilers.... :-)

But there have a couple of times in the last month when someone on #afp has merrily burbled away about the latest episode on the main channel, instead of going to the #who channel. Sometimes *during* the episode, when even the filesharers haven't seen it. I think they've just been too excited to remember that not everyone on-channel is in the UK.
