[livejournal.com profile] yourbob was evil and linked to something at geektoys. Naturally, I then made the mistake of looking around at the "if you liked that..." links.

And found a sonic screwdriver. For $15.

Wants.

I may actually get a couple, as I can think of one or two people on the Christmas present list who would appreciate one.

"Sonic Screwdriver" sounds like a particularly trendy drink name, don't you think? A screwdriver with midori or something.

Ready to handle a Time Lord's tool? Each Sonic Screwdriver feels just perfect...and it extends too!

Nothing wrong with a little Who fangirling... I actually have one of those sonic screwdriver toys. Very nifty.

Thanks for reminding me of that website. someday I am going to buy the red swingline stapler, and I also want the office cube action figure playset. :)

My sister got me one of those for Christmas last year :-)

I've also seen Dalek bottle-openers for sale, which surprised me, cos I didn't think Daleks drank beer....

About £13 last time I saw one in the shops - the US ones seem to be significantly cheaper at the current exchange rate.

ThinkGeek is a dangerous place. Some idiot (me) showed it to my daughter just before Christmas and she put half of their catalog on her Christmas wish list until I told her it wouldn't arrive in time.

But she got me a trebuchet (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/warfare/81e6/) for Father's Day, so all is forgiven. And a hoodie (http://www.thinkgeek.com/apparel/hoodies/8cc3/) for herself. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to get what she wanted most (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/cubegoodies/84b2/), as they wouldn't ship that outside North America.

A word of warning to UK shoppers, though: we got a bill from HM Revenue & Customs a couple of weeks later.
