Well, the prose style is just as good as the original, but the sociophilosphical points made diverges from those for which the Gor series is justifiably famous, and by this juxtaposition of a close adherence to style and a subtle mirroring of the purportedly biologically inherent social and moral normative order, the author proves herself to be not a mere plagiarist but a true and original writer, subverting a true literary classic by updating it for a new generation.
