Uhm, wow. That show sounds hella interesting. SciFi + Police Drama + Humour = Awesome? I'm going to have to try and get ahold of that. It's extremely good, although it may not work as well for Americans because they won't be as familiar with the 1970s British culture it refers to. There is supposed to be a US version being made, but people aren't convinced that they'll be able to catch what made the original so good.
I had a region-free player when I was living in the US, because I wanted enough things that were only available on Region 2 for it to be worth my while finding one. They're not normally explicitly sold as such in the US, but a lot of players can be quite easily reprogrammed through their handsets to turn of the region-locking. Even better, it's usually the cheapest ones that can be unlocked...
