Latest Amazon package arrived this morning. What I actually wanted was the Natural Sounds CD set to mask the low frequency noise that's been bothering me, and the Torchwood series 1 box set. I added the Star Maidens DVD set and the sonic screwdriver LED torch, since they're both very cheap at the moment and I might as well get them while I've got an order big enough to qualify for free shipping. So I'm sitting here fiddling with a Dr Who torch which is clearly aimed at six-year-olds. Pathetic, really.

I did put on one of the CDs to check it played properly, but it's very bad timing. I've been wanting this for the last couple of weeks, and it arrives when natural sounds to mask annoying hum are *not* a problem -- there's a howling gale out there today...

I'm waiting for the pirate made-in-china version that houses a vibrator. I know some people who'd really appreciate such an item as a gift.

Hmm. It's a pity I don't have access to a decent workshop any more, or there might have been custom-made items in time for Eastercon...
