Torchwood 2.13 -- Exit Wounds

Just got back from a fannish evening at kalypso_v's, where the highlight of the day was the Torchwood series finale. Great gobs of melodrama all over the place, but *I* enjoyed it. And that's all I'm going to say, for fear of spoilers.

Bloody brilliant. And not just because we get to see how prettily Jack cries. (Sorry. There was rather a lot of Torchwood drooling in the last 24 hours, as one of the party hadn't had a chance to see 2.11 and 2.12 yet, and nobody else minded in the least watching them again. And then we watched bits of 1.1 again this afternoon, because it was necessary to demonstrate to someone that yes, mpreg is canonical in Torchwood...)

Yes. I thought it was a great episode. I'm such a geek. I really like seeing the flashbacks into the character's early lives. (And I want to see more of Gallifrey in the next Who season). I loved how the actor who played Grey got the 'family' voice and accent perfectly... and even looked right for Jack's little brother.

I was also very pleasantly surprised that Captain John turned out to be three dimensional after all.

According to the radio Times one of the Season Four episodes of Doctor Who is called 'The Doctor's Daughter' which 'does exactly what it says on the tin'. And the actress playing her is the daughter of Peter Davidson. How cool is that? More backstory.

(They never explained Granddaughter Susan, did they?)
