The Evil Empire is selling the X-files DVD boxset cheap this week: The X Files - The Complete Collector's Edition for 70 quid. I'm tempted by that, but I've also got enough DVD boxsets to last me the rest of the year, and I stopped watching somewhere around fifth season, so I shall resist temptation.

ETA: and the bastards just waved *this* at me:
Babylon 5: The Complete Collection + The Lost Tales (Exclusive to Amazon.co.uk)
Complete Babylon 5, *including* "Crusade". For 75 pounds. [whimpers quietly]

Aaargh! Did you have to tell me about this? Now I'm sorely tempted...

I do have every B5 episode on tape (either taped from the TV or bought), but having the boxed set would clear a lot of space in the cupboard...

Eek, don't do it. The fifth season is a lovely stopping point. Pretend the Mulder/Krycek kiss was the highest point of series and that Fight the Future ends with Mulder and Scully saving the world.

I've been slogging through the later seasons, masochistically. There be dragons beyond season 5, no word of a lie.

The running joke of my university's prediction page for the upcoming year was "And the X-Files will start to suck. No, wait, that one's from last year."

Season five did have some great moments, and by great moments, I mean great Mulder/Krycek. The rest, meh...

I've heard B5 was brilliant, but I need to finish Farscape and NCIS before I can possibly start something new. Oh, and write a 40,000 word novella. No problem!
