Hey, I can upload large images into the scrapbook, and then use them as user icons without having to do the squishing myself. :-) So there *is* something I get out of the paid account besides being able to edit comments and not having my LJ used as an advertising hoarding.

Yes, but it took me until this year to use up my allotment of 6 on the Basic account. And that was mostly with cover art from my books. :-)
