Yes, I am indeed back on dial-up this weekend. I don't often use my Demon Dialup account, but there are times when I am very glad to have it, mostly when visiting the more internet-challenged family members... Not ignoring anyone, just not *here* most of the time. On the other hand, I'm reading far more of usenet than I have done since starting the new job -- a fact which may cause a certain amount of terror in one newsgroup that has just been subjected to my displeasure.

Suffering rather badly from a cold, and also expected to be doing Something Useful, hence no writing so far. However, have been plot noodling on L&M3 during the week, so have a better idea of how various plot elements might fit together. This is good.

I think he genuinely can't understand why his post is so offensive, which is why I tried to tone it down to something he might listen to instead of following my initial impulse to char him to a tiny cinder.

Still got a cold, but at least the pharmacy is now open. I shall go and buy the pseudoephedrine I failed to buy on Saturday morning (having forgotten that the village pharmacy closes at lunch on Saturday and doesn't re-open until Monday).

Shoo, cold, shoo! Good for pseduoephridine, and opening hours. Pity about the closing hours, but I can understand why someone might choose to close on a Sunday even if it can be a bit inconvenient for would-be customers. (Then again, everything may be closed on Sunday - I have no idea what trading hours are like in your neck of the woods.)
