Just remember that you have to pay overseas shipping -- though on boxsets, Amazon's habit of knocking off the VAT usually covers the shipping.

Afraid so. My Amazon linky goodness posts are largely about making sure other people are aware of potentially interesting offers, so they do sometimes include things I already own.

I wonder if they'll release the Thunderbirds pack in the US; the current US version is $100. Of course I could buy from .co.uk and ship (I just did that for Spitting Image seasons 1->4)...

If you have a region-free DVD player, you might well be better off doing that than waiting for a special deal on the US edition -- and my experience of buying Region 2 from Amazon UK while I was living in California is that they deduct the VAT, which usually covers the additional cost of overseas shipping.

Yeah, as I said, I just got Spitting Image that way (although the US credit card company charges 3% on foreign fees). But I also just checked my unwatched queue (http://sweh.livejournal.com/295664.html) and am feeling a little guilty at buying all this stuff and not watching it! But I also want to do more reading. I need more time :-)
