so who are you guys?
Nov. 26th, 2008 08:34 pmOf late I seem to have accumulated a number of readers who (as far as I can tell) are not already known to me from somewhere else. I presume some of you either read my books or are interested in my occasional witterings on the writing process. I don't have a problem with people lurking without commenting, since I do that myself on a few blogs, but if you want to introduce yourself to me and/or the other people who hang around here, ask a question, make a random comment (or point out that I *do* know you under another name), here's a thread to do it in.
Initial comments are screened by default for the benefit of the shy. I'll unscreen your comment if you say I can.
ETA: I hadn't used LJ comments set to screen before, so wasn't sure quite how it worked. It seems that if I reply, that automatically unscreens the replied-to comment. I can rescreen quickly, but in the meantime the comment is naked to the world. So I won't reply directly to comments that don't say unscreening is okay, just on case anyone's uncomfortable with that. Some general replies:
If you post at
autopope's or
james_nicoll's LJs moderately often, then I'll almost certainly recognise your handle.
I do remember the person from Eastercon now I know what the link is. Hope you're getting something useful out of the burblings.
And welcome to the readers. This *was* supposed to be an official author blog when it started a few years ago, but it rapidly mutated into conversation with my fannish and writing friends, so I hope you're still finding something of interest in it.
