so much for wordage

I thought I would get some wordage done today, but no, not even something resembling a book review rather than a mere "I read this, and it was good". Some of this is probably lingering effects of earlier this week, some of it is undoubtedly that my digital thermometer has just informed me that my temperature is currently 37.2 when it normally says that I'm around 36.8, IIRC. I've spent the last hour listening to the middle CD of an excellent audiobook of Mapp and Lucia, which appears to strike the right balance between being complex enough to hold my attention but short enough chapters that I can still cope with it when feeling a bit fuzzy.

I shall now go and poke at the shin of beef casserole, and see if it is done. And then perhaps go and find something on the telly to eat in front of.
