back from a wet bank holiday weekend

Went down south for the bank holiday weekend, where I was once again net-deprived. This probably saved you all from much squeeing about steam trains yesterday. Unfortunately I seem to have done something to my arm while typing on the laptop's own keyboard instead of the ergonomic one, so will need to restrict typing for a few days -- or fire up Dragon, which could be... interesting.

Taking the odd poll - do you find you enjoy the time away more or less with no net? Good luck with the arm.

I used to be completely neutral on this (as in, did not actively notice the absence of net unless I actually needed to be checking my email for some reason). In the last year or so, I've discovered that my first instinct on wanting more information about something or other is to Google for it...
