24328 words as of lunch, and the end is almost in sight. This time another 5000 words really will do it, and probably less than that. If it were flowing, I might well get the rough draft finished today. Unfortunately the throat infection that's been a vague threat since Thursday finally set in last night, and I feel miserable and agitated, and haven't written a thing since before I went out to the shops to buy lunch. At this point I think I shall abandon it for the moment, and go to Boots in search of better living through pharmaceuticals, because I can't find the codeine or pseudoephedrine, and will undoubtedly need both by the end of the day.

predatrix this evening helped me sort out what to do with the scene I was working on. It's just passed 25 kwords, and there's probably a page or two to go. I think the rough draft will be finished tomorrow, although I've then got to go through and polish it, and read all three pieces to make sure there aren't any contradictions before I put it out for beta-reading. Looks like around 55 kwords total for the set, which is longer than I expected when I started planning it.
Time to take some codeine and go to bed...
