Wanted to write up at least one review to link to before posting this, but I'm too tired. (I think the flu jab and subsequent ouch have drained me a bit.)
Treeware:
Doctor Who and the Hand of Fear
- novelisation by Terrance Dicks. Plus a re-read of the Torchwood second season tie-in novel "Trace Memory".
Cybook:
The Night Life of the Gods
by Thorne Smith.
Started a collection of shorts by F Scott Fitzgerald, but found them unappealing -- I think me more than the book, because that was when I was starting a bad cold, which led to a couple of weeks of not being interested in reading on the bus.
Persuasion, by Jane Austen -- switched to this when I started reading on the bus again.
Other: beta-reading a draft manuscript as part of a friend's crit group. As ever, a slightly strange reading experience, because it was enormous fun to read, but I did also have to focus on stuff like whether the plot hung together, and small but annoying glitches.
I probably ought to start a DVD log as well, because there were a couple of serious DVD-watching items -- not least
kalypso_v and I finishing our viewing of Star Maidens. I've got a half written review around here somewhere that I should finish.
And given the number of typos in this post, I should go to bed now and get some sleep.
