The Syndicate: Volume 2 was released yesterday by Loose Id and is now available for purchase online.
The rewrite story I was working on has been formally submitted to Loose Id, although I still have to write the synopsis for it.

Feedback and general running off at mouth
Date: 2004-10-30 06:05 pm (UTC)I'm a big vampire fan, so Promises to Keep was a nice treat. Your version of the lore is different enough to not be cliche, but still sexy. I wrote a vampire short for the recent Monsters anthology on torquere. Its one of my favorite fantasy genres and I have, I believe, the worlds largest collection of vampire movies here at my home.
Okay, now I'm babbling. Sorry, I do that.
AND I like your icon. I had an idea for a cat-hair suction box. Just put the feline in, press a button and ::swoop:: it sucks all the hair off at once.
babbling again. its a disease. Anyway, I enjoy your fictional work. (I would probably not understand AT ALL your RL work), and hope to see more soon.

Date: 2004-10-30 07:03 pm (UTC)I have my contributor's CD for Monsters & Myths, but haven't had a chance to read it yet - as may be obvious from last week's entries, my brain has been on holiday, and I'm still catching up with Urgent Things To Do.
The third volume of The Syndicate is going through edits at the moment, and should be available in time for Christmas. That's the last of it for the moment, although Alex and I are tossing around some ideas and hoping that they'll gel into a coherent plot for a fourth book in the series. Our current joint project is a different sf romantic comedy, but I'm also working on a rather more serious contemporary m/m romance. (Or will be once I've cleared off the editing and rewrite jobs.) There are actually royalty-paying publishers out there who will take original slash now. Whee!
The cat vacuuming is the joint icon of the rec.arts.sf.composition usenet newsgroup. "cat-vacuuming: An activity that pretends to be useful, but is actually being done so that you can avoid writing." We decided to get lapel pins made up, and Suzanne did a design for us. :-) Some of us took to using it as an LJ icon as well.
