Andre Norton's Beastmaster reissued

There was a certain amount of squeeing here about this weekend's "you might like this" email from Amazon -- Tor are re-issuing Andre Norton's "The Beast Master" and "Lord of Thunder" novels about Hosteen Storm in a trade paperback omnibus (also in hardback). Release date is 5 January 2010. I don't need to rush out and buy it as I already have both of them (I have the old Gollancz hardback of Lord of Thunder, of fond memory to many middle-aged Brits who had a library card in their youth), but I suspect that one or two of my flist will be pleased by the news.

I also don't need, for I still have my paperbacks from forever-ago - but oh, I did love those books. I probably still do. If I could find 'em tomorrow, I might line 'em up for a birthday-treat reread...

I re-read Plague Ship recently, and was most pleased to find that I still love it, even if there were more things this time round that made me wonder why a space-faring culture did not have certain technology.
