... but I am jet-lagged. I also have a tonne of stuff to catch up on, not least being my tax return. Normal service will be resumed shortly, for varying values of "normal".
Glad to *be* back. :-) With any luck I'll stay put long enough to go to Baycon. I've even emailed them to ask for a reading slot, although I haven't heard anything back as yet.
Baycon (assuming I don't have to go off again), since it's only just down the road. I'm dithering about whether to go to Writers Weekend in Seattle at the end of June - be nice to see a couple of friends, but it's also going to be a lot more expensive what with the airfare and hotel room. And I'd prefer to keep my tax-deductible spending within my actual writing income. :-) Might also go to the local slashcon in SF in October, or Silicon if I remember about it, but that's pretty much it this year. I've done too much travelling in the last 18 months to be enthralled by the idea of having to get on a plane to go to a con, especially when I might have to cancel the trip at short notice.
Bugger. Just went to check when Westercon is in San Jose (and *if* it's in San Jose), and discovered that San Jose did win the bid and as a pre-supporter I could have got a seriously cheap membership if I'd sent them money before 31 Dec.
