As is Life on Mars of course!! Do not, repeat do not, risk buying the 2006 Robin Hood.

1975 Hood was repeated ad nauseum on the ABC when I was a teenager, so I am well familiar with it. :-) Best screen version of the story ever, IMO. But no extras on the DVD alas. Very minimalist all round, in fact -- you get a choice of subtitles on or off, play all three episodes on the disc, or select one episode. Doesn't even have chapter points within the episodes, which is slightly annoying. Still, having it at all is good, and the picture quality looks fairly good for a transfer off thirty rear old video stock. Martin Potter's really rather nice...

I gather from comments all over LJ that the 2006 one is not something to regret having missed owing to being geographically challenged. :-)
