RIP Heath Ledger

Heard it on irc, but it's already on my flist and I imagine will be all over it tomorrow. Heath Ledger, dead at 28 of a suspected overdose, in circumstances suggesting that it wasn't drug abuse gone wrong. No, I didn't know him, and on the scale of things it is, after all, one small tragedy magnified only by the number of people who'd seen him on screen, but it still hurts.

I always wonder what anybody could have done to help people who feel this is their only action left. Nobody should have to feel that alone...

Jess and I just saw it posted on another friend's LJ, and we're both completely stunned, sort of more than we expect over and actor we didn't know personally.

We both thought he was extremely talented, and it's really getting to us.
