The WIP stands at 6500 words, which seems like a good place to stop for the evening. It was 6077 when I started, so I've done more than my minimum 300 words for the day. Alas, this is the first time in weeks I've done *any* words. Mostly because this is the first time in weeks I've been physically up to it. I got hit with the throat infection nearly five weeks ago, and between pain and coughing I'd had only 2 or 3 nights of unbroken sleep up until about four nights ago. It's amazing what getting a couple of nights of decent sleep has done for my ability to focus.
I think I shall now take myself to bed with a hot water bottle and some aspirin/codeine (because the bug is back for another round, and I am not giving it a chance to keep me awake tonight), and read a few pages of that book I got through LTER.

Date: 2009-03-09 09:25 pm (UTC)I've been feeling a lot better this last week, now that the cough from the tonsillitis last month is no longer keeping me awake at night. It's been very frustrating because just as I started to be familiar enough with the new job that it wasn't taking all my mental energy, I got sick. And I've had the basic plot and some of the scenes in my head for *months*, just not been able to write.
