[Note: this post will not make sense to about 3/4 of you. Don't worry about it.]

One of the other things I miss about rasfc-as-was? The pen porn. Can't remember the last time I saw a good stationery fetish post...

This thought brought to you by a stationery fetish post just seen on rasfc-the-LJ-filter.

That reminds me of this April 1 post by a friend of mine, to her mom about her lost pens. It reminds me, because both [livejournal.com profile] rosefox and her mom both have the same opinion that I do about the Pilot V-Ball pens being the Right Pens.

Luckily, Village Stationer still carries them (and will gladly order boxes for me, and call me when I forget to go in and pick them up), even if Staples and Office Depot have moved on to the newer shinier doodads.

My friend Paolo was in charge of stationery acquisition at my office. He told me that we went through 200 pens a week. TWO HUNDRED.

Granted, we did lots of things with a pen and there were two penpots next to the shift leaders' terminals for the bankers to grab, and they often went away with them, but still. TWO HUNDRED. A WEEK.

I was pleased with this arrangement because both Paolo and me are fan of the Bic Orange, which everybody else loathed. They are still sold in bulk, but it's hard to find them at stationery shops.

Oh yes (: Slightly disturbing but then again everyone has different tasted (:

See now when I'm ordering stationery at work I'm going to be thinking dirty things... Its bad enough that the people I work with think I'm a little overly friendly with the contents of the stationery cupboard (:

I think the fun stuff just dried up because everyone was so exhausted from all the arguing. :(

Your kink is not my kink but any decent writers' group should totally tolerate your kink.

I have recently started using my fountain pens again, and have therefore plunged into pen porn.

I have also misplaced by Pelikan Souveran. I hope it's misplaced and not lost, but I am getting an increasing lump in my throat. No way I can replace it at my current financial level. Still, both the Parker 51 and the Sheaffer Intrigue are acquainting themselves very well, I have to say.

You can never have too many calligraphy pens...

I was thinking more of a more exotic colour = dak green, red, turquoise - but yes, that is basically what I had in mind...

I miss the pen porn even though I don't like using pens! (Why is there so little keyboard porn? After all, they're just as tactile!)

I love the idea of pens more than the actual using of pens, these days, but a good calligraphy pen is a wonderful thing.

I have to admit that I've switched most of my writing to gel pens, which are wonderfully easy in maintenance and reasonably cheap if you buy them in multipacks. They've just worked out better than fountain pens.
