Pfizered today. While I was waiting in the pharmacy an elderly gentleman came in and was telling one of the staff all about how he wasn't going to have his Covid vaccine because he'd seen the reports in Parliament about heart problems and excess deaths...

Congrats on being boostered. Due to the colds we caught coming back from Bristol we had to cancel our appointments and are now waiting to hear about a new date.

Funny how such people ignore the stats on excess deaths from Covid...

I wish my vaccine for this year had been available three weeks ago.
I'm still exhausted from the Covid.

I was Pfizered a couple of weeks ago, and had the side effect of feeling absolutely knackered (to use a technical medical term) the next day, so I hope you avoid that. The two Pfizer jabs I've had out of my five in total have been the only ones to give me noticeable side effects. The previous one made me quite feverish the following night. Rather ironic given that the Germans were claiming in the autumn of 2020 that the AZ vaccine was causing nasty after effects and I believe before long largely stopped using it in favour of Pfizer.

Actually, deleting that after looking at earlier entries. But Pfizer was a lot better from my perspective than Moderna was, although both were a lot better than the first day of Covid was.

It's interesting how it varies from person to person. My one Moderna had no noticeable side effect for me.

General impression from people at work after the first two shots was that Astra Zeneca was worse than Pfizer for most people. Pfizer people were tender arm and feeling a bit under the weather the next day, largely from lack of sleep, while AZ had people feeling a lot more under the weather and for a couple of days. Everyone agreed it was a lot better than having Covid, even the person who got the rare side-effect of a frozen shoulder for three weeks.

Covid finally caught up with me at Eastercon, and I had one day of the "everything hurts, just the thought of food makes me feel sick, can just about manage to drag myself to get water to drink and then finish processing it". After that I was still very weak for a couple of days but could have worked from home for a few hours, just couldn't have got on the bus into work. Anti-vaxxers would take that as proof it doesn't work, but given that at every level of "test positive but asymptomatic" "noticeable symptoms", "too sick to do anything other than cuddle a hot water bottle", "hospital", "ICU", "morgue", there was a dramatic difference in how many unvaxxed v vaxxed people were affected, managing three years of 5 days a week on public transport before it got me and then one day of bad symptoms seems worth a sore arm and a couple of days of feeling a bit washed out.

Absolutely.

For me, no noticeable side effects from AZ x 2 or from Moderna, hut I did get them from both Pfizer jabs. I've never tested positive for Covid and AFAIK I've never had it.
