living up to his reputation

Took the new Captain Jack into work this morning, still in his pristine factory packaging so as to protect him from getting squashed on the bus. When I got him out of my bag at lunchtime and cut open the plastic clamshell, it released a distinct odour. Of *rubber*... Presumably this was just the result of a small plastic figurine having been sitting around outgassing plasticisers into a sealed pod for several months, but given that this is Captain Jack, one wonders, one does.

I am pleased to report that he did indeed remain erect unaided all afternoon.
