3000 words on Spindrift yesterday, and 1000 today, so progressing well.

And The Syndicate 1 reached #9 on the Fictionwise erotica list today. :-)

Well, I'm finding that I can now leave it until after lunch before checking. :-)

What will interest me is next Monday and Tuesday, because there will be another batch of new releases on Monday morning, and that will probably shuffle things around again. What I'm really looking forward to, though, is seeing the raw numbers in a few months when the information feeds through to Loose Id and hence to me. Loose Id pay monthly on income they've received, but since Fictionwise only pay the publishers every three months (I think), I won't see the numbers on my royalty statement for another couple of months minimum.

Other slightly less obsessive checking - my publisher's flirting with dead tree format, and put two print books out last month. And every few days I go and check their Amazon ranking. One wanders around the 2000s and 3000s (which is excellent), and one's bouncing around in the 5000-10,000 range (which isn't bad either). This is encouraging, even if it's not my book. :-)
